As more and more bulbs are connected in series to a flashlight battery, what happens to the brightness of each bulb? assuming that heating inside the battery is negligible, what happens to the brightness of each bulb when more and more bulbs are connected in parallel? (#100)
a. power dissipated will be inversely proportional to net resistance of series combination of bulbs. net resistance of series combination of bulbs will be equal to the sum of resistance of individual bulbs. thus, net resistance of all the bulbs will be large.
b. brightness of each bulb depends upon power dissipated in each bulb. since, only small amount of power is dissipated in each bulb, brightness of the bulbs will decrease as more bulbs are added.
c. when bulbs are connected across the battery in parallel, voltage across each bulb will be the same.
d. the brightness of each bulb will be the same when bulbs are connected in parallel (provided resistance of each bulb is the same).
