Explain how gravitational potential energy changes when height increases

As we go farther away from the surface of the earth, our kinetic energy builds up because we are fighting against the gravitational pull. Like a magnetic force. 

If you go on the highest mountain you will have a bit of trouble finding your balance because the gravitational pull isn't too thrilled that your not snuggling up with it. Needy mate, basically.
