A three-phase generator supplies two three-phase loads. The 2.4 kV generator is rated at 180 kVA. The per-unit impedance of Load 1 is ZLoad1=80%+j75% and for Load 2 is ZLoad2=70%+j25% on 200 kVA and 2.5 kV bases.

(a) Determine the ohmic value of the impedances.

(b) Calculate the source current in amperes and in percent if the generator operating voltage is 3.8 kV (line-to-line) and a reactance of X=125% is connected in series with the generator voltage.

Please show step by step solution and make sure answers correspond to the answer key below:

(a) Zload1 = 25 + j23.4 Ω , Zload2 = 21.9 + j7.8 Ω ; (b) Igen = 45.3 A = 97.99%
