When you focus a camera, you adjust the distance of the lens from the film. If the camera lens acts like a thin lens, why can it not be a fixed distance from the film for both near and distant objects?

An example of environmentally learned behavior is aggressive behavior, i grew up seeing many aggressive people in my life and a slowly started picking up those traits however i was able to call myself out and not give in to those traits.
