What is a characteristic of a transform boundary

A Transform boundary always has faults and stress as a result of the two plates constantly rubbing against each other.

This results in the formation of thin linear valleys , split river beds and earthquakes too. A common example of a transform boundary is the San Andreas Fault found in California, United States.
