You will be examining the speed of the ball before and after each impact with the ground. To determine the speed of the ball before the first bounce we will use conservation of energy. Using the ground as the reference level, and the given initial and final positions, set up a conservation of energy equation and solve for the velocity of the ball before the collision with the ground. Show all of your work. You used the conservation of energy to find the velocity before the first bounce. However, this experiment is all about how a ball loses energy? Is there a conflict here?
