I NEED HELP PLEASE, THANKS! :) A positively charged light metal ball is suspended between two oppositely charged metal plates on an insulating thread as shown below. After being charged once, the plates are disconnected from the battery. Describe the behavior of the ball.

The behavior of the ball will be like a pendulum kind of motion swinging between the two charged plates.

The positive ball would go toward the negatively charged plate first. After which, it would lose the positive charge and becomes negatively charged. Due to the negative charge, it will repel the negatively charged plate and will start traveling towards the positive plate this time.  

The process would continue which will create a pendulum kind of motion for the charged light metal ball between the plates, and this will continue until either of the one the positive or the negative plate became neutral (discharged).

Hence, the behavior of the ball will be like a pendulum kind of motion swinging between the two charged plates.

The ball will be attracted to the negatively charged plate. It'll touch and pick up some electrons from the plate so that the ball becomes negatively charged. Immediately the ball is repelled by the negative plate and is attracted to the positive plate. The ball gives up electrons to the positive plate so that it is positively charged and suddenly attracts to the negative plate again, flies over to it and picks up enough electrons to be repulsed by negative plate and again to the positive plate and that continues.
