Our eyes take in light to see- in the darkness they take in as much light as possible, and when it's bright, they take in as little as possible. They do this by changing the size of the pupil.

If there is no light, people cannot see. So how would we know where we are going?

Here's how: we would evolve over time to use our other senses ( smell, taste, touch and hearing) better, like animals with bad eyesight.

Our senses of smell and hearing would play the most important role.
