1. One night, while Isaiah was in his bedroom playing Xbox, Isaiah's mom decided to make some microwave popcorn. Isaiah's mom was enjoying the popcorn's pleasant
aroma even before the popcorn was finished popping. 30 seconds after she ripped
open the bag, Isaiah got a whiff of the glorious aroma that only hot artificial butter
flavoring can produce. Isaiah immediately lost focus and invoked his high pitched voice
as he screamed, "Are you making popcorn without me?!?!"
Isaiah and his mom smelled the popcorn at different times.
Draw a particle model (include wooshies) below that explains the different timing
for Isaiah's Mom and Isaiah to smell the popcorn. (Click on the box and then click
on EDIT)

Copper has free electrons per cubic meter. a 71.0-cm length of 12-gauge copper wire that is 2.05 mm in diameter carries 4.85 a of current. (a) how much time does it take for an electron to travel the length of the wire? (b) repeat part (a) for 6-gauge copper wire (diameter 4.12 mm) of the same length that carries the same current. (c) generally speaking, how does changing the diameter of a wire that carries a given amount of current affect the drift velocity of the electrons in the wire?

Arunner is jogging at a steady 3.6 km/hr. when the runner is 2.9 km from the finish line, a bird begins flying from the runner to the finish line at 14.4 km/hr (4 times as fast as the runner). when the bird reaches the finish line, it turns around and flies back to the runner. even though the bird is a dodo, we will assume that it occupies only one point in space, i.e., a zero-length bird. how far does the bird travel? (b) after this first encounter, the bird then turns around and flies from the runner back to the finish line, turns around again and flies back to the runner. the bird repeats the back and forth trips until the runner reaches the finish line. how far does the bird travel from the beginning? (i.e. include the distance traveled to the first encounter)
