CER Summative Instructions: Here is an imagined variation of the Fan Cart Gizmo Simulation. There is a new box in the Gizmo. It shows three types of tires that you
can place on the cart. There are plastic tires, cork tires, and rubber tires that you
can choose. You ran the three types of tires with the other setting on High Fan
Speed, no objects on the cart, and on the Metal surface. You may open the
Gizmo if it helps you to visualize this pretend setting. Your question that you use
to form your Claim statement is: Which type of tire has the best TRACTION?
Traction is used in Science to describe how well something grips something else.
Traction is considered a type of FRICTION. You may refer to any assignments you
have already turned in as you think about your CER Paragraph. These google
classroom files may help you: In Materials for Class, the Example write up for the
'Fan Cart Simulation'; your own Fan Cart Simulation Activities; or your CER with
Fan Carts Word Doc. Here are the times you found for the three kinds of tire for
the time it took to travel the 500 cm track: Plastic tire trial: 13.9 seconds Cork tire
trial: 9.6 seconds Rubber tire trial: 8.9 seconds Write a CER conclusion using this
set of Evidence/Data.*

On a horizontal frictionless surface, a small block with mass 0.200 kg has a collision with a block of mass 0.400 kg. immediately after the collision, the 0.200 kg block is moving at 12.0 m/s in the direction 30° north of east and the 0.400 kg block is moving at 11.2 m/s in the direction 53.1° south of east. use coordinates where the +x-axis is east and the +y-axis is north.(a) what is the total kinetic energy of the two blocks after the collision (in ) what is the x-component of the total momentum of the two blocks after the collision? (indicate the direction with the sign of your ) what is the y-component of the total momentum of the two blocks after the collision? (indicate the direction with the sign of your answer.)
