All the lines of writing in the book is the DNA and one word is a gene giving specific information.

Example 2: Using the picture below as a model, the basket is the nucleus of a cell which contains the chromosomes shown as the balls of yarn. All of the yarn is the DNA while the specific shaded sections represent the individual genes.
