touches the flame of the candle.
Muscles of your hand contract, responding to the impulses.
_Interneurons relay impulses to motor neurons.
Motor neurons relay impulses to muscles of your hand.
Sensory neurons in your hand send messages to interneurons.
You pull your hand away from the flame and say, "Ouch!"
