I NEED AN ANSWER! A sled going down a hill covered in snow eventually comes to
a stop. Explain why this happens in terms of energy. Use
the terms potential energy, kinetic energy , and friction.

Before sled starts to move it has a potential energy due to the elevation...and then that potential energy converted to kinetic energy due to presence of a velocity...the sled will continue to move if their is no resesive force...but however friction force is presence that cause the sled to stop

initial speed when it is dropped is 150 ft/s

now at the same moment the acceleration due to gravity is perpendicular to its velocity

so as we know that

now we have centripetal acceleration a = 32 ft/s^2 as its perpendicular to velocity

while tangential acceleration at the same moment will be zero

so the radius of curvature just after it is dropped is 703.125 ft
