Why do we give shots in the neck and not anywhere else in pigs ?

The normal favored site in weaners, producers, finishers, and grown-ups is up to 70mm behind the base of the ear. Little piglets are regularly infused into the ham of the rear leg in light of the fact that there isn't a lot of muscle on the neck. This isn't suggested in producers/finishers in view of the chance of abscesses.
