Yo, I've been slacking off over this for a few hours. I'll post all the questions; helping me with just one will be greatly appreciated: 1. On his way off to college, Russell drags his suitcase 15.0 m from the door of his house to the car at a constant speed with a horizontal force of 95.0 N. a) How much work does Russell do to overcome the force of friction? (1,425 J) b) If the floor has just been waxed, does he have to do more work or less work to move the suitcase? Explain.

2. Katie, a 30.0-kg child, climbs a tree to rescue her cat who is afraid to jump 8.0 m to the ground. How much work does Katie do in order to reach the cat? (2400 J)

3. A tugboat pulls a ship with a constant net horizontal force of 5.00 x 103 N, causing the ship to move through a harbor. How much work does the tugboat do on the ship if each moves a distance of 3.00 km? (1.5 x 107 J)

4. A student librarian lifts a 2.2 kg book from the floor to a height of 1.25 m. He carries the book 8 m to the stacks and places the book on a shelf that is 0.35 m above the floor. How much work does he do on the book? (Total is 0.77J, +2.75J and -1.98J)

5. A catcher "gives" with a baseball when catching it. If the baseball exerts a force of 475 N on the glove, so that the glove is displaced 10.0 cm, how much work is done by the ball? (47.5 J)

If you give me the slightest help you'll have my eternal gratitude.
