Hm, yeah so I'm just going to keep posting this question until I get an answer :/ Goodbye 3000 points that I saved up ;-;

What is the difference between mass and weight? Mass is the number of atoms an object is made up of. For example a living being is made up of Carbon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Sulphur, Phosphorus, Hydrogen, and other atoms. So if you traveled to the moon, your mass will be the same as on Earth. Why? Because you are a whole person, nothing taken away or added. Weight is different, because weight has to do with the force of gravity which is different on Earth versus other celestial objects like the moon, Mars, etc. On Earth, gravity is 9.8 m/s2 or 9.8 meters per second squared. The moon is โ…™ the gravity on Earth or 9.8 m/s2 times โ…™.

QUESTION: So gravity on the moon would be 9.8 m/s2 divided by 6. What is the gravity on the moon?

The x-coordinate of a particle in curvilinear motion is given by x = 3.1t3 - 4.9t where x is in feet and t is in seconds. the y-component of acceleration in feet per second squared is given by ay = 2.3t. if the particle has y-components y = 0 and vy = 5.0 ft/sec when t = 0, find the magnitudes of the velocity v and acceleration a when t = 1.8 sec. sketch the path for the first 1.8 seconds of motion, and show the velocity and acceleration vectors for t = 1.8 sec. answers: v = ft/sec a = ft/sec2

Alinearly polarized electromagnetic wave has an average intensity of 196 w/m^2. this wave is directed towards two ideal polarizers (in real polarizers, transmission is also effected by reflection and absorption). polarizer a is oriented with its transmission axis at an angle of ฮธ_1=20.8โˆ˜ with the incident electric field. polarizer b has its axis at an angle of ฮธ_2=63.0โˆ˜ with the incident electric field. what is the average intensity of the wave after it passes through polarizer a? what is the average intensity of the wave after it passes through polarizer b? suppose that the two polarizers a and b are interchanged. what would the average intensity be after passing through both polarizers?

With the simplified model of the eye, what corrective lens (specified by focal length as measured in air) would be needed to enable a person underwater to focus an infinitely distant object? (be careful-the focal length of a lens underwater is not the same as in air! assume that the corrective lens has a refractive index of 1.62 and that the lens is used in eyeglasses, not goggles, so there is water on both sides of the lens. assume that the eyeglasses are 1.90
