How much heat would it take to melt 2000 kg of snow that started at -10 degrees Celsius? specific heat of snow is 2100 J/kgC
heat of fusion is 3.34 x 10^5 J/kg
treat this a two questions:
one to heat the snow to its melting point, the other to melt the ice
an explanation would be appreciated :)
