12. El pragmatismo se basa en que sólo es bueno aquello que tiene una utilidad práctica en el mundo
real, en la vida humana, es decir, todo aquello que
es eficaz. De esta forma se opone a las escuelas
filosóficas del racionalismo y el formalismo (estas
basan la verdad en el intelecto y en raciocinio
humanos). Un ejemplo claro de pragmatismo seria.
A. A un estudiante le gusta mucho la filosofía, pero
tiene elige estudiar economía porque tendrá más
opciones de encontrar un trabajo mejor pago.
B. Aquel que se rehúsa en el desierto a comprar una
botella de agua por un precio de 100000 pesos. Aun
no teniendo agua, pero si suficiente dinero para
comprar 10 botellas.
C. Cuando un partido político rehúsa hacer un pacto
con otro partido político (de ideologia muy distinta a
la suya) para aprobar una ley concreta, que podría
beneficiar a toda la población del país.
D. Un empresario no invierte su dinero en renovar la
planta de producción porque no quiere gastar dinero,
a pesar de tener nivel de producción por maquinaria
antigua
