Consider the two students below who are discussing the differences observed in the single bulb and two-bulb series circuit. Which student do you agree with? Explain your reasonings. Student 1: In the series circuit, the first bulb uses up half the current and the second bulb uses up the other half. In this way, the bulbs in series are dimmer than the bulb in its own circuit.
Student 2: We know that current is not "used up" in the bulbs so whatever current passes through the battery must also pass through each bulb and return to the battery.

Abag of potato chips contains 2.00 l of air when it is sealed at sea level at a pressure of 1.00 atm and a temperature of 20.0 deg c. what will be the volume of the air in the bag if you take it with you, still sealed, to the mountains where the temperature is 7.00 deg c and atmospheric pressure is 70.0 kpa? assume that the bag behaves like a balloon and that the air in the bag is in thermal equilibrium with the outside air.

Ablock of mass m = 2.5 kg is attached to a spring with spring constant k = 740 n/m. it is initially at rest on an inclined plane that is at an angle of theta= 26 with respect to the horizontal, and the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the plane is uk = 0.17. in the initial position, where the spring is compressed by a distance of d = 0.16 m, the mass is at its lowest position and the spring is compressed the maximum amount. take the initial gravitational energy of the block as zero. the block's initial mechanical energy is 9.472 j.b. if the spring pushes the block up the incline, what distance l in meters will the block travel before coming to rest? the spring remains attached to both the block and the fixed wall throughout its motion.
