A diagram is shown of 4 different positions for a pair of magnets. A table shows 4 arrangements of a pair of magnets. In the first row, position 1, shows two horizontally oriented magnets as rectangles with the left end in red labeled N and the right end in blue labeled S. A large gap exists between the magnets. The second row, position 2, shows the magnets slightly closer together. In the third row, position 3, they are even closer.
