A monkey (mass m) is swinging on a vine of length L while carrying a bunch of bananas (a large bunch, mass m/2). His swinging motion has period T and reaches maximum height during the swing h (measured from the bottom of his arc of motion). He accidentally lets go of his bananas when he is at a height of h/2. What happens to the amplitude and period of his oscillation as a result? Explain.

The coulomb's law explains which of the following? select all the force between two charged objects is inversely proportional to the charge on each object. the force between two charged objects is directly proportional to the charge on each object. the force between two charged objects is directly proportional to the distance separating them. the force between two charged objects is inversely proportional to the square of the distance separat coulomb's law is similar to newton's 2nd law. if the force between two objects is f and the charge on both objects is doubled, the new force between the would now be 2f. if the force between two objects is 2f and the distance separating them is doubled, the new force between the objects would now o the be zf.

8.29 two streams containing pyridine and acetic acid at 25°c are mixed and fed into a heat exchanger. due to the heat-of-mixing effect, it is desired to reduce the temperature after mixing to 25°c using a stream of chilled ethylene glycol as indicated in the diagram. calculate the mass flow rate of ethylene glycol needed. the heat capacity of ethylene glycol at these conditions is approximately 2.8 kj/(kg k), and the enthalpy change of mixing (δmixh) is given below.
