Your neighborhood friend invites you to swim in their pool for exercise. You're surprised to see how big their backyard is. The pool is a perfect circle. You use the ladder at the edge and swim exactly 5 laps around the circumference of the pool. You're even more surprised to see your neighbor has a giraffe in their backyard. You're scared of giraffes. From the edge of the pool, it only takes you 2.47 seconds to go straight to the exact middle of the pool. Fortunately, you are 4.1 meters from the edge and the giraffe can only reach 2.4 meters. Time to wait for your friend to come help. How many meters of distance did you actually swim in your exercising? It may help to draw a picture. Remember the formula for circumference of a circle.
