A vertical pipe of 40mm diameter carrying a flow of a Crude oil of μ = 1.7 poise and relative density 0.82. The pressure gauges fixed in point A and point B which is above A, the distance between A and B is 50 m. Pressure gage of point A reads 650 kN/m2 and Pressure gage of point B reads 300 kN/m2. Find the direction and rate of flow through the pipe?
