You are given a liquid mixture to identify as a colloid, suspension, or solution. When you shine light from a laser pointer you can see the beam spread out in the mixutre. Only some light passes through. What is the next test you should perform to determine the type of mixture?
Heat the mixture to evaporate the water.
Shine the light through again several times.
Wait to see if the particles settle out of the mixture.
Shake the mixture.
