Place the conducting sphere close to the dome of the generator and place your hand in contact with the opposite side of the conducting sphere. Turn the Van de Graff generator on and allow it to charge. Remove your hand from the sphere and then turn the generator off. Bring the sphere close to some Styrofoam spheres or small pieces of paper and any other available light weight objects. Required:
