Let us say you are working in a crash test facility. The car you are testing hits the wall, the dummy is slumped over the wheel, and broken glass is everywhere. There is just one problem: your radar that measures the car’s speed was turned off! You know that the length of your track is 15 meters. You also know that the car crossed the entire track in 0.5 second, because your high-speed cameras recorded the entire event. Use that information to answer the questions below.
What was the average velocity of the car during its test on the track?

As usual, any non-answers will be reported. Thank you!

Air is to be preheated by hot exhaust gases in a cross-flow heat exchanger before it enters the furnace. air enters the heat exchanger at 95 kpa and 20°c at a rate of 0.6 m^3/s. the combustion gases (cp = 1.10 kj/kg°c) enter at 160°c at a rate of 0.95 kg/s and leave at 95°c. determine the rate of heat transfer to the air and its outlet temperature.
