As light from a star spreads out and weakens, do gaps form between the photons?

Not exactly what is meant by this question, but

I ∝ n h ν       intensity at a point is proportional to the number of photons     received

E ∝ 1 / R^2     illuminance at a point is proportional to 1 / R^2

So the number of photons received at any any point is inversely proportional to the number of photons reaching that point

So as one moves away from the source the number of photons received at that point will decreases

i think it’s a. this is because if they measured the mass of something with a mass of 150g, then their final answer would have to be approximately 150g. though all of their answers are almost 150, rosa and tran have the closest answers (or the exact answer) to the accurate one.
