Your friend left their science project off until the "night before" and now they are frantic to build a home made weather station that can measure relative humidity. They build the standard two – thermometer setup but their water had just been shut off and so they use salad oil on the wet bulb thermometer. Please describe how well their instrument will work and the physics behind your answer.

Awater-filled u-tube manometer is used to measure the pressure inside a tank that contains air. the water level in the u-tube on the side that connects to the tank is 5 ft above the base of the tank. the water level in the other side of the u-tube (which is open to the atmosphere) is 2 ft above the base. determine the pressure within the tank.

An important dimensionless parameter concerned with very high-speed flow is the mach number, defined as v/c, where v is the speed of the object such as an airplane or projectile, and c is the speed of sound in the fluid surrounding the object. for a projectile traveling at 1170 mph through air at 50 ˚f and standard atmospheric pressure, what is the value of the mach number?
