The brightness of the star define the temperature as well as the temperature. The most massive (and hottest) stars are the super giant stars. These can have temperatures of up to 20 times the mass of the sun. The stars are very hot with temperatures of about 20 000 - 50 000 K.

The super giant stars will be found on the top region of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram.
