According to sigmund freud, where do people's desires, drives, and motivations reside?

According to Freud, people's desires and motivation reside in the id. The id is the impulsive subconscious part of the mind which is based on the need and desire to seek immediate satisfaction. The id does not grasp or care for consequences of the action or the reality of it .what it cares for is that it gets what it wants.
