Throughout the Asia-Pacific region, rapid economic and population growth creates serious social consequences from environmental problems. The Asian economic crisis has aggravated this trend. Economic policies have encouraged growth in some sectors while ignoring damage to others. Further, little regard is given to sustainability of the exploited resources. The social costs in terms of health, economic efficiency, and cultural dislocation are immediate, while the long-term costs of environmental rehabilitation are humbling. Left unbridled, environmental damage can lead to economic decline.

Asia is the largest continent on the earth which consists of many countries in it, it is one of the beautiful continents on the earth with a variety of vegetation, Asia consists of some of the world's beautiful beaches and fl-aura and fauna. Unfortunately, due to rapid economic growth with the view to pull out people from poverty this continent is also affected by environmental issues.

The three challenges faced on this Continent are:

Air pollution.Destruction of coral reef.Deforestation.Air pollution is the global issue but in the case of Asia it is worse, local companies set wildfire intentionally to clear the land so they exploit it.The coral reef is the life provider for the aquatic animals and important for the marine environment but due to increasing acidic levels in the ocean killing the coral reef.Deforestation is the process of cutting trees and clearing land for commercial use which also destroys the soil fertility and local vegetation.
