In what ways do archaeologists work with new technologies and other scholars in their work

Archaeologists often interact with scholars from different fields such as history, linguistics, geology, geography, and more in order to obtain more information about the new technologies.

However, in modern times, there are many advanced techniques which could help archaeologists in the extensive research. Dating techniques like carbon dating, dendrochronology, and potassium-argon dating which can provide with more accuracy in their results.

With the invention of Ground Penetrating, Radar (GPR) and electromagnetic equipment also help archaeologist to analyze beneath the ground before digging.

Such advancement in technologies and collaboration with other scholars helped archaeologist in their research with more accurate and reliable information about the past.

I believe the answer is: It helps them obtain much more information because they have more ways of research and more sources to compare data to.

For example, before the invention of radio active isotope, archaeologists could only rely on the depth of burial in order to determine the age of a certain artefacts, which is not reliable since things such as erosion, flood, or earthquake could alter the depth of the burial.
