Witch factor has contributed most to an increase on earths population

The factor that has contributed the most in increase on Earth's population is the decrease of death rates (faster than birth rate), and particularly an increase in average age.

P.S. I know this is gonna be annoying, but it's "which," not "witch." "Witch" is like that evil woman, and "which" is like which one do I want so yeah.
