Ethics in sports and sports code must be followed to contribute positively towards the society.  

Trustworthiness, respect and tolerance towards the opponents are important sports code for a good sportsman.

The best example is the one day international cricket. The cricketers respect the national anthem of the opponent’s nation too by standing in attention as a mark of respect. The wounded cricketer is lifted by the opponent for immediate first aid to be given which shows his responsibility.
