A group which dominates the drug trade of specific products or services is known as a drug cartel.

Drug cartels are a type of criminal organization that are involved in the trafficking activities of drugs and other associated crimes. They carry out the trade of narcotics as per the demand. Drug cartels are most active in Latin American countries. The people behind these cartels are mostly the ones who produce these drugs.

There are four categories of drug cartels which includes falcons, hitmen, lieutenants, and drug lords. The people who are related to arm business do not come under drug cartels.
