Political conflicts in South Asia are based off of conflicting religions.

In the past there have been many rivals between Hindus and Muslims, which causes a lot of  violence. There are also certain extremist groups that cause tension and violence. There is also tension between India and Pakistan over an Indian state called Kashmir, which is mostly populated by Muslims. Both India and Pakistan own nuclear weapons, therefore a war could break out at any minute.
