the windward side of mountains receive moisture bearing winds which strike on its surface, rise upwards, condense, and fall as rain. this air loses its moisture by the the time it reaches the leeward side. thus, this side receives less rainfall.

i heard they are taking it off i hope this isn't true but otherwise if it doesn't get taken off it will probably be in early december or early january of 2018-2019
