What had to happened in order for the constitution to be made the supreme court law of the land?

It became the law of the land because of the bill of rights. Otherwise the anti-federalsits would ratify the constitution and we wouldn't have a U.S. constitution. Since the bill of rights was added, it automatically became the law of the land.
