In this stage everything is seen through a positive perspective. There is romanticization of all the aspects of the culture. The good and bad aspects of the culture are seen positive.

Negotiation

The person becomes aware of the cultural differences and may create anxiety. The person tries to understand why the culture is the way that it is.

Adjustment

The person tries to accept the different customs and traditions of the culture.

Adaptation

Here, the person has become fully attuned with the culture and accepts the culture completely.
