1. A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant.

2. Candid Shots are those which are made without the knowledge of the subject whereas Posed Shots have planned setting and subject knows that photo is being taken. Advantages of candid shots are that they usually produce natural alive picture as people do not expect they are being captured(surprise pic your friend wasnt expecting and posed is the opposite)

3. Some of the challenges are getting them to look, and getting them to pay attention to you. You can fix this by bringing them in an comfortable environment.

4. It’s difficult to get everyone looking good and not blinking. It’s hard to arrange your subjects to have them all fit into the frame. You can reduce these challenges by preparing for the photo ahead of time. You can decide a wide and open location and arrange the group for shortest in the front and taller in the back, etc

5.  The three tips I have for photographing a child are: go to a location the child will enjoy such as parks, take a picture at eye level of the children as this will appear more natural, and get candid photographs of the children.

6. Use the right amount of light for the photo (decide if you want to overexpose or even underexpose). Use a shallow depth of field to make the subject really “pop”. Decide a few poses that the subject can do.

7.     Be confident, Arrange people in a staggered formation, Keep the group close together, Make sure people's faces aren't covered, Be strategic about lighting, Shoot a sequence of photos, Let your subjects have fun.

9. do you like take off guard pics or when their ready if you choose off guard or (candid) i would say its brings out the natural everyday life people can relate to but if you choose posed i'd say it shows that "dress to impress" feeling(or what ever you think fits)
