Tomasa can satisfy her need to belong by joining these groups. Need to belong also called self belonging. It is the emotional need that the human posses. It is the need of humans to get accepted in the society like in schools, society, college and office. It influences the behavior of humans.

This need comprises factors like self comparison, self presentation socially. In social psychology it comes under intrinsic motivation which help an individual even more confident when he/she is socially accepted.
