          Cultural assimilation is the process in which an individual or a group's language and culture resembles the culture and language of another group or individual.

          In other words, people belonging to a specific ethnic group will welcome and support the new immigrants and the new immigrants will gradually adapt to the way of life in their new place. Ethnocentrism holds the societies together by blending their cultures and languages. It provides the members of any culture with the feelings of belonging and identity.
