The Israelite people didn't wanted to accept the fact that they are enslaved and ruled by other people so they were not submitting and were revolting. The Assyrians were not very tolerant though so they were brutal, destroyed the majority of the objects and forcing lot of people out of the empire, mostly ending in Asia Minor.
