I agree, if you perceive yourself to be a group , this means you don't consider yourself as an individual separate from the group.

Explanation:mostly as people we have experienced this when working in our project in school or anywhere else that if you don't perceive yourself as a group of is likely that you will not put as much effort towards anything you do in a group. For example people put much effort to particular organizations that they feel they are part of , which means they consider themselves as a group and they then give their all to the group success not to just individual success.People even donates money to those groups.
