I personally believe that showing good leadership skills like open communication can be beneficial in the workplace but some instances where it is better to be silent might be based off of your personality. If you know that you are an individual who tends to curse more, maybe you could learn to "bite your tongue" in stressful situations or situations that would normally call for you to curse; no one wants to hire a worker who is cannot keep their composer. This can also be applied in regards to clever remarks or attitude. The lack of sensitivity, self-disciple, self-control, respect, optimism, and more, will most likely not get you hired and/ or will get you fired if it is seen as a problem that happens on a regular basis. Another example could be personal beliefs or, the separation of church and state. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but it would be wise to keep personal beliefs out of the workplace (i.e. religious beliefs, political beliefs, opinions on equality, etc.). If you state your beliefs openly and they do not conform to the beliefs of your company, you might not get hired or you might fired based on the level of controversy surrounding your belief.
