Reflect on your university experience so far. Remember writing reflectively is about you, putting the ‘I’ in reflection. Your reflection should be 1500 words long + or - 10% and should
be based on either Gibbs’ model of reflection or the DIEP model. Things to consider in your
reflection :
 What happened?
 Have I provided detail about this?
 Is it about the experience or me?
 What critical moments or events occurred?
 Were there any ‘light bulb’ moments which led to learning?
 What did I learn or get out of this experience?
 What positives can I take out of this? Why?
 What were the negatives and Why?
 Was there evidence of theory in practice?
 What will I do differently based on what I now know?
Your reflection will be assessed using the following criteria:
 How well you have described the experience
 How well you have analyzed the experience
 What you have learnt from the experience and what you will do differently going
forward
 Integration of theory with practice that is good use of relevant academic references
