The Magna carta was such a revolutionary document because it was the document that established the rights of citizens in a place.

This was a charter of rights that was written by King John of England. The Charter established the rights of the citizens of England at the time.

This was revolutionary because before now the people had being subject to only the laws of the monarch that governed them. They had no personal rights.

The Magna Carta, also known as the Great Charter, was a charter of liberties to which England’s King John had to agree 1215 under the pressure of the powerful barons that threaten to create a rebellion against the King´s failing foreign policies and onerous taxes.

Explanation:

This document was revolutionary because it placed King John and all of England’s forthcoming kings within a rule of law. It would later be the basis for the English system of the common law, and a symbol of freedom against oppression. Furthermore, in 1776 the Founding Fathers of the United States of America used it as a historical precedent for the independence process.
