The U.S. constitution gave the government the power to collect taxes, build roads, borrow money, establish courts, make and enforce laws, etc. The U.S. limits the powers of the government with the 3 branches and those 3 branches must have the equal amount of power, no one can have more power than the other. Legislative, Judicial, and Executive are the branches.
