The Neolithic age saw a great rise in the human population. People settled down in villages and built sturdier to live in. Communities were organized by units. Working on the farm, looking after domestic animals, cooking food, and tending to children were some of the major everyday chores. Gradually, men and women divided such chores among themselves.
