What is the Vedic Age? Why is it considered important?

   Vedic period is one of the most important time for Hindu Religion. Many Hindu religious texts were composed during this time. This period is called Vedic because the four Vedas were composed during this period. Vedic Age began with the arrival of Aryans.

Why is it important?

The Vedic Age is the “heroic age” of ancient Indian civilization. It is also the formative period when the basic foundations of Indian civilization were laid down. These include the emergence of early Hinduism as the foundational religion of India, and the social/religious phenomenon known as caste.
